Vail Resorts 2019/20 Season Closure FAQs

Guest FAQs

At this time, our mountains remain closed, but we will continue to monitor public health guidelines around COVID-19, as well as weather conditions, in making our decision on late season skiing and riding and summer operations.
Vail Resorts is offering our valued pass holders who purchased a 2019/20 Season Pass, Epic Day Pass, Resort Pass or Multi-Pack Season Pass product a credit toward the purchase of a new pass for the 2020/21 season.

We are providing 2019/20 season pass holders a minimum credit of 20% of their 2019/20 pass price if they purchase a 2020/21 pass of equal or greater value, based on the resort closures in mid-March impacting ~20% of the core season (U.S. Thanksgiving to Easter). Additionally, we recognize that some of you were waiting until spring to use your pass.  As a result, we are providing higher credits for season pass holders who skied or rode less than five days, up to a maximum credit of 80% of their 2019/20 pass price, if they did not use their pass at all and purchase a 2020/21 pass of equal or greater value.

2019/20 Epic Day Pass and Multi-Pack Season Pass holders will receive a credit up to 80% of their 2019/20 pass price based on their number of unused days if they purchase a 2020/21 pass of equal or greater value.

All credits can be applied toward the purchase of a 2020/21 pass of equal or greater value from May 13, 2020 to September 7, 2020.  Learn more here
Your credit is valid through Labor Day, September 7,  because we understand that you may need time to decide on your plans for next season.

Guests can process refunds and credits on pre-purchased lift tickets, lodging, ski and ride school, equipment rentals, and mountain activities, subject to applicable terms and conditions, using this online form.

We are providing season pass holders with a credit of 20%-80% of the purchase price of their 2019/20 pass, to apply toward a 2020/21 season pass of equal or greater value. Credits are based on the price of your current pass and the number of days you were able to ski or ride. If you have remaining days on your Epic Day Pass, Edge Card or one of our other multi-pack season pass products, you’ll receive a credit for each unused day, up to 80% of the purchase price paid for your pass.  Learn more at epicpass.com/info/2019-2020-pass-holder-credit

Please allow 6-8 weeks for processing after you submit your online form.  You will receive an email confirmation when your request has been received.  Vail Resorts customer service representatives will call you if any additional information or clarification is needed to process your request.

For the 2019/20 pass holder credit, guests will receive an email on May 13, 2020 with their personalized credit and promotional code. Learn more at epicpass.com/info/2019-2020-pass-holder-credit
