Q: What is the Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack?
The Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack is a FREE program for Kindergarten through 5th graders that provides skiing and riding at each of the state’s top-ranked resorts: Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, and Keystone (restricted 11/24/17-11/25/17, 12/26/17-12/31/17, 01/13/18, 02/17/18-02/18/18). It includes one FREE first-timer ski or ride lesson with equipment rental between 11/27/17-12/16/17 & 1/18/18-2/1/18.
Q. How can parents enroll their child in Epic SchoolKids?
- Visit a Colorado Ski and Golf or Boulder Ski Deals Store before October 8
- Child must be present to register
- Parent brings a copy of child report card, student ID, birth certificate or passport
- Parents can pick-up their child's pass at the resort ticket window upon their first resort visit
Q. What do parents need to register their child for Epic SchoolKids?
When enrolling their child(ren) in Epic SchoolKids, parents must provide:
- The child must be present at the time of registration
- Season pass application
- A physical or digital copy of the student report card/transcript/school ID or birth certificate/passport
Q. Is there a deadline to sign-up for Epic SchoolKids?
Yes. Epic SchoolKids is only available until October 8!
Q: How do I receive my child's pack?
Once the required documentation is submitted at the store location, you will receive an email stating your child's pass has been processed in the system. You can have the pass printed your first day of skiing at any ticket window. Due to the volume of Epic SchoolKids applications, processing time may vary.
Q: How often can my child use their Epic SchoolKids Pack?
The Epic Schoolkids Colorado Pack provides 4 days of skiing or snowboarding at each of the state’s top-ranked resorts; Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, and Keystone. Packs are valid up to 4 days at each resort and are subject to holiday restrictions.
Q: What if my elementary school child doesn't know how to ski or snowboard? What about equipment?
The program offers one free first-timer lesson and rental. The lesson is valid for a one-time first-timer lesson at a single resort (not one lesson at each resort).

First-timer lessons and rentals are available from 11/27/17-12/16/17 & 1/18/18-2/1/18. The free rental and first-timer lesson must be redeemed as a package and are only valid for a one time use.
Ski lessons are available for kids ages 3+ and snowboard lessons are available for kids ages 7+.
Vail Resorts offers a Junior Trade Program for families who would like to purchase gear that has the ability to grow with their child.
Q: Which resorts are participating in the Epic SchoolKids program?
Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, and Keystone. The Colorado Pack does NOT include access to Arapahoe Basin.
Q: Are there any blackout dates or restrictions?
Holiday restrictions apply including:
- November 24, 2017 - November 25, 2017
- December 26, 2017 - December 31, 2017
- January 13, 2018
- February 17, 2018 - February 18, 2018
The first-timer lesson is only available between:
- November 27, 2017 - December 16, 2017
- January 18, 2018 - February 1, 2018
Q: Why is Arapahoe Basin not included on the Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack?
Arapahoe Basin is a long time valued partner of Vail Resorts and they are an important part of our season pass program. However, the free Epic SchoolKids Colorado Pack program is a Vail Resorts-specific offer so they are not included.
