Protect your season with Pass Insurance

You’ve saved. You’ve planned. You’ve looked forward to skiing or riding for months. But things don’t always go according to plan.

What if you get sick or injured and are unable to use your ski pass?  What if you are laid off from your job?

Pass Insurance is offered through Travel Guard Insurance Co., to cover for you and your investments when the unexpected happens.

  • Adult/Teen/Senior (age 13+) Pass Insurance: $20
  • Child Pass Insurance (age 5-12): $10

*Note: Pass Insurance is not transferable or refundable. All refunds are pro-rated based on the number of days skied on the date of incident. Pre-existing conditions may not qualify.

Coverage applies for season passes, including the Epic 7 Pack and Keystone 4 Pack, valid for the 2010/2011 season, October 15, 2010 through May 15, 2011. Refunds will not be provided beyond May 15, 2011 because all refunds are pro-rated based on the number of days skied by the date an incident occurs (10/15 – 5/15). For example, if you make a claim in January after using your pass three times previously, your refund amount will take three days of prior pass use into account.

If You Accept:

  • Pre-Season Pass Cancellations: For incidents that occur prior to the start of the ski season, Travel Guard will reimburse the full cost of your season pass if you’re unable to use it for the entire season, due to a covered reason. Claim must be made prior to October 15, 2010.*
  • Season Interruption Reimbursements (pro-rated): For incidents that occur after the ski season begins, we’ll reimburse the pro-rated value (based on number of days skied) if you are no longer able to use the season pass due to a covered reason. Subject to the terms and conditions of the policy, covered reasons include sickness, injury, job transfer, complications of pregnancy, normal pregnancy or childbirth, military deployment, employer termination or layoff, death of a family member and primary residence becomes inhabitable.*

If You Decline:

  • Refund Ineligible: If you do not accept pass insurance, you will not be eligible for a refund of any kind and understand that passes are non-transferable nor for re-sale.

NOTE: If you have already purchased your pass and wish to purchase pass insurance, please call  our Customer Service Center at 800-842-8062. Pass Insurance will only be offered through September 15th or 30 days after you purchase your pass (whichever date comes later).
