THE STUFF OF LEGEND™
Get ready. Pure big mountain adventure is just a 45-minute drive from Heavenly.
Kirkwood is the sirens call for those whose middle name is “adventure,” those who like their snow deep and their terrain steep. Still an undiscovered gem for many producing an average fifteen metres of snowfall, locals call it “the k-factor,” and after you’ve skied it once, you’ll be a believer for life. With the deepest, driest snow around and some of North America's most diverse and challenging terrain, Kirkwood offers big mountain riding with small town attitude.
The resort sits 130 km from Reno-Tahoe International Airport, (1.5 hours drive); 179 km from Sacramento International Airport, (2.5 hours drive); and 322 km from San Francisco International Airport (3.5 hours drive).
Several operators provide shuttle bus services between Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood in the winter months. Go to Ski Shuttles.
Car rentals are available through Hertz at the Reno International Airport and in South Lake Tahoe for your convenience.
