Northstar California is well-known for its ski and snowboard schools. Our teachers come from all over the world to bring their expertise to students of all ages and abilities. From toddlers snowplowing down gentle slopes to experts honing their skills, everyone has something to learn at Northstar.

For Grown-Ups

No matter who you are or what level you’re at, the Northstar Ski & Snowboard School has a lesson program for you. To make the first day easy, we have "magic carpet" beginner lifts for all age groups, terrain-based teaching for those who want to learn at their own pace and complimentary Mountain Tours for advanced intermediate & above skiers/riders (restrictions apply).

For Kids

If only regular school was this fun. Our children’s ski and snowboard school makes learning a blast. We have lessons for all levels, including a free "Mommy, Daddy and Me" 45-minute program for parents and toddlers. Plus, we have skis, boards, poles and helmets available for rent in all sizes. Maybe your little one isn’t ready for the mountain? We have licensed on-site daycare available at the Minors’ Camp Child Care Center. Every day, activities start indoors then move outside for fun in the snow.
