Opening Day

November 6th, 2009

Come celebrate the start of winter when we officially open the slopes for skiing and riding. Don't miss a chance on the first turns of the 2008-2009 season!

LUNA Snowshoe Race Series

Keystone Resort is proud to present the 10th Annual Luna Chase Snowshoe Race at its new location—The Nordic Center. Whether simply racing for fun or out to win it all, the Luna Chase is open to snowshoers of all abilities. Don't forget your Aloha gear. Tons of prizes and giveaways will be awarded so don't miss out!

Mardi Gras

Don your feather mask, grab a hurricane and bundle up for one of the wildest events of the winter when the River Run Events Plaza gets converted to the Big Easy. Snatch those traditionally famous beads tossed from the wacky contestants of Keystone's Float Parade. Drinking, dancing, live music and the Keystone Zamboni round out this day of crazy festivities. River Run's scenic balconies are a great location to view the festival's center stage featuring live music.

Winter Culinary Festival

Come experience a sampling of local specialties from Keystone’s award-winning restaurants including the Keystone Ranch, Ski Tip Lodge, Alpenglow Stube and more. The Outpost, located atop Keystone’s North Peak will be transformed into a tasting lodge for guests to pamper their palates and delight their taste buds. In support of Keystone and Vail Resorts' Appetite for Life Program, chefs will be serving sustainable and organic ingredients in several dishes. This event is also a zero-waste event where all trash will be recycled and/or composted.

Blues and BBQ

Jazz up your weekend with a spicy afternoon of authentic barbecue and silvery blues music. River Run's Blues and Barbecue Festival is loaded with spring pleasures and soul-soothing indulgences. This savory Saturday event features our resort's chefs and restaurants grilling up a storm! Satisfy those "end-of-the-ski-season blues" with dynamic live music and lip smacking brews.

Volcolm Peanut Butter and Rail Jam

April 10th, 2010

The Peanut Butter and Rail Jam is Volcom's free amateur snowboard contest series dedicated to giving something back to the kids. Deviating from the established way snowboard contests are run, Volcom put their heads together and came up with a fresh format. Instead of having rails or features set up in a row, three rails are dug in side-by-each to create a single, large rail zone. The event is absolutely free, on a first-come first-serve basis and boasts tons of free prizes and PB&J sandwiches! Also, everyone who enters walks away with a Volcom PBRJ shirt plus other goodies.
