Opening Day

Breckenridge opens the season with a kick-off celebration. We'll be flipping free pancakes from 8 a.m. until they're gone at the Beaver Run Plaza. Enjoy live music, giveaways and great prizes from our local radio station personalities. The lifts will be running at 8:30 a.m. so get here early to make your first turns of the season in Breck! Proceeds from opening day will benefit local charities.

Ullr Fest

This long-standing event pays homage to the mythical Norse God of Snow. A week-long schedule of events range from the Ullympics to the Ullr Bonfire to the famous (and unofficial world's craziest) Ullr Fest Parade down Main Street. Come participate for the 43rd year celebration and see how the locals really celebrate.

International Snow Sculpture Championships

Fourteen teams from around the world compete in this eye-pleasing event, creating mammoth works of art from 12-feet-tall, 20-ton blocks of snow. The sculptors work during the week, reshaping the bounty of Mother Nature into freeform whimsy or spellbinding intricacy. Well-known artists act as judges for the event, which has brought sculptors from as far away as Morocco, Belize, Japan, Canada, Scandinavia, Russia, China and Wales.

A New Orleans Style Masquerade Ball at 9,600 Feet! On February 21st, join us for the second annual Breckenridge Bacchus Ball! The evening will feature live music from Tiny Barge and the Big Chill, dancing, New Orleans-style food and drink, the crowning of the 2009 Breckenridge Rex and Queen, and much more.
