Kirkwood's 2,300 acres offer vast, open bowls, double diamond steeps, cliffs, chutes and miles of cornice—and two separate base facilities give access to a variety of groomed terrain at one of the great California ski resorts. Powder Skiing

Superior snow, diverse terrain and a magical sense of arrival make for an experience unlike any other in the ski world. The average winter brings over 500 inches of snowfall to Kirkwood, for the deepest snowpack in the region and some years the deepest on the continent. 2,300 wide-open acres and two separate base areas translate to uncrowded slopes for every ability, from an unrivaled standalone beginner facility to cliff-walled, double-diamond chutes.

Kirkwood Terrain Map

Kirkwood's ample and diverse terrain consists of bowls, snowfields, glades, chutes, gullies, groomed runs and more. The long ridgeline is crested with miles of dramatic cliffs and cornice. A unique combination of geography and elevation bring more snow—and better snow—to these slopes, than those of any other resort in the region. Options for access include two separate base areas, as well as a cross country/snowshoe center.
